On Site
We are a working farm, so there is always something going on, our visitors often wake up with the view of cows or sheep grazing in the field next to the site. We are in the process of making a designated fire pit with wooden logs around it, where there would be a chance for people to have a fire, warm up some beans, make a hot chocolate or just sit around and spend some quality time together. We also have a football goal installed for a little kick about.
Very Local
We are very lucky to be in walking distance from three local pubs that serve food. Please check individual food serving times and menus are available on site. They are Roadmaker Inn, an outstanding Gurkha curry house (0.9 miles), The Alma Inn, one of the very few old fashioned English pubs remaining with excellent pub food using local suppliers, (1.1 miles) and The Penny Farthing (1.4 miles).
The ‘Alma Inn’. is an award winning pub with a very good reputation not just locally but in the whole of the county. The ‘Alma’ is walking distance from the farm.
‘The Roadmaker Inn’ serves traditional Gurkha cuisine. We definitely recommend it! Again, the pub is walking distance from the farm.
And last but not least, ‘The Penny Farthing Inn’, this is a traditional, very well presented British Pub with good, honest food with beer garden and play area.
There is also a village shop and post office who sell local produce, Gorsley Shop (0.8 miles).
